Energies of the Elements

Good morning everyone.

For the last few years, I’ve spent a lot of time in the energy of water.

Water has always felt familiar to me.

Feelings.

Emotions.

Reflection.

Sometimes healing.

Sometimes a complete mess.

Before that, much of my life was spent in fire.

Anger.

Reactivity.

Outbursts.

Trying to force my way through life.

What I’ve learned is that neither water nor fire is the answer by itself.

Too much water and we drown in our emotions.

Too much fire and we burn down parts of our lives that never needed to be destroyed.

The invitation is balance.

Water cools the fire when it grows too large. Fire burns away what no longer serves us. Fire clears the ground for new growth, and water nourishes what comes next.

Lately Spirit has been calling me into another element: Wind.

Expression.

Voice.

Truth.

Movement.

The water and fire within us creating steam that rises and finds its way into the world through words, song, chanting, breath, and authentic expression.

This is where Wind + Fire was born.

As I began remembering who I truly was, I felt my path was to help women.

I entered ceremony and asked my helping Spirits a simple question:

“How can I help women?”

The answer surprised me.

Spirit showed me that if I truly wanted to help women, I needed to help men.

Much of the pain women carry today can be traced back to wounded men who were never taught how to feel, heal, or express themselves.

Many of us were raised by generations of men who suppressed their emotions, numbed themselves, carried their pain in silence, or released it through anger.

We were told to suck it up.

Be a man.

Don’t cry.

Don’t feel.

And now we’re living with the results of those teachings.

For me, everything comes back to energy.

What energies are living inside us?

What energies are we carrying that no longer belong to us?

I’ve attended many men’s groups over the years. Most of them focused primarily on talking.

Talking is important.

But for me, something was missing.

Because energy doesn’t move simply because we understand it.

Energy moves when we engage it.

That’s why Wind + Fire Men's Circle isn’t just a talking circle.

It’s a ceremonial space where we work directly with the energies inside of us.

The first circle is focused on letting go.

What have you been carrying for too long?

Where does it live in your body?

What would it feel like to finally release it?

Through fire rituals, drumming, chanting, breath, movement, and brotherhood, we create opportunities for those energies to move.

We write down what we’re ready to release.

We speak it aloud.

We offer it to the fire.

Then we move.

We drum.

We chant.

We allow the energy to leave our bodies instead of continuing to carry it.

And once something is released, we call something new into its place.

Courage.

Peace.

Purpose.

Truth.

Love.

All supported by a circle of men who are likely carrying many of the same struggles.

So I ask you:

Where are you in your life right now?

What energies are asking for your attention?

What elements within you are seeking balance?

The circle has been created.

You are welcome to join us.

You are welcome to remember who you are.

Because some fires destroy.

Others awaken.
